Around and about
With lots of countryside, rolling hills, meadows full of wild flowers, wooded hillsides and lots of lakes and rivers. You are unlikely to want to stray far if you love peace and quiet and a quality way of life. Here you will find life as it was lived many decades ago; if life at home is hectic and stressful then just relaxing by the mill pond or river is probably all you will want to do. As one camera crew said, 'if you arrived at the mill in the dark, when you woke up in the morning, you would think you had died and gone to heaven'!

It is good to have plans of where you might like to visit but in reality most people stay very close by!

Everyday living
The local village is approximately 5 kilometres away and has all the shops needed for everyday living; a choice of bakers, a good butcher, 2 supermarkets, hairdressers, pharmacy, bank, post office, bars and a couple of restaurants.
